Hurricane Milton is predicted to be the most expensive natural disaster in Florida history when it makes landfall on Wednesday night.
In an attempt to assist people recuperating from the effects of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Taylor Swift has made a sizeable donation.

Feeding America thanked the celebrity for her kind donation in a statement posted on Instagram on Wednesday, October 9.

«Taylor Swift’s kind donation of $5 million to Hurricane Helene and Milton relief efforts is greatly appreciated.

The CEO of Feeding America, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, said in a statement that «this contribution will help communities rebuild and recover, providing essential food, clean water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms.»

The message went on, «Together, we can truly help families overcome the obstacles that lie ahead. We appreciate your support, Taylor, in our efforts to alleviate hunger and to assist underserved communities.»

Feeding America hailed Swift, 34, in the caption area, saying, «In the wake of #HurricaneHelene and #HurricaneMilton, you stood with us and the movement to end hunger and help communities in need.» When we work together, we can truly help families overcome the obstacles that lie ahead.»

Additionally, they urged readers to donate and «join Taylor if you’re able to».

The National Hurricane Center predicts that Milton will deliver «life-threatening» conditions to central and southern Florida, with a focus on the Tampa Bay region, as well as the western coast. With winds reaching over 160 mph, it was initially a Category 5 storm but has now weakened to a Category 3.

Swift has volunteered to help in times of need before. This is not the first time. After the state saw fatal tornadoes in December of last year, the «Down Bad» singer gave $1 million to the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee,

According to Rachel Biggs, the CEO of Cardiff Foodbank, Swift provided «1,200 individuals three meals a day, for three days — or 10,800 meals” in June after making food bank donations at her appearances on the U.K. Eras Tour.
