Travis Kelce Keeps Quiet When Asked About Proposing to Taylor Swift During Super Bowl Halftime
Travis Kelce was notably tight-lipped when asked if he plans to propose to girlfriend Taylor Swift during the Super Bowl halftime show.
The NFL star, 35, was speaking with reporters at the Super Bowl’s opening night event in New Orleans on Monday, Feb. 3, when he was asked the big question.
Kelce responded with a playful smile, saying, “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
Swift, 35, has been a regular presence at Kelce’s games since they started dating in 2023, most recently cheering him on during the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Buffalo Bills on Jan. 26.
During the press conference, Kelce was asked about his favorite meal that Swift makes, to which he enthusiastically replied, “Oh, she’s quite the cook.
I’m a breakfast guy, man. Her homemade Pop Tarts are unbelievable.”
Kelce also shared his admiration for Swift, saying, “I better hold up my end of the bargain.
She’s up there being the superstar that she is, always working her tail off. I better match that energy for sure.”
As the Chiefs prepare for the Super Bowl on Feb. 9, where they’ll face the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s still unclear whether Swift will attend the game, though it’s quite likely given her schedule post-Eras Tour.
The pop star was present for last year’s Super Bowl victory, where she joined Kelce on the field for an embrace and kiss after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers.
In the days following the Chiefs’ win against the Bills, Swift reunited with Kelce on the field again, exchanging sweet words.
Kelce’s recent remarks about a possible proposal come after Swift publicly supported him on social media, liking a photo he posted before attending the 2025 Grammy Awards on Feb. 2.
Swift also seemed to nod to Kelce at the Grammys by wearing a thigh chain with a glittery red “T.”
The Chiefs are hoping for a historic third consecutive Super Bowl win, with their matchup against the Eagles bringing back memories of their 2023 Super Bowl meeting.
