The 32-year-old singer-actress and the 36-year-old producer are officially set to tie the knot. Selena shared the exciting news on Instagram on Wednesday, December 11, posting a carousel that included a close-up of her stunning engagement ring, as well as a joyful photo of the couple sharing a hug and laughter.
In the caption, she wrote, «forever begins now.»
Benny Blanco expressed his excitement with a playful comment: «hey wait… that’s my wife.»
Selena also gave fans a closer look at her new ring in a mirror selfie, which she posted to her Instagram Stories.
Earlier this year, during a May appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Benny hinted at the possibility of marriage with the Only Murders in the Building star, saying he could see a future together.
«When I look at her, I always think—there’s no world where it could be better than this,» Benny Blanco shared at the time.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have known each other for years, having first teamed up on the 2019 hit «I Can’t Get Enough» with Tainy and J Balvin. However, it wasn’t until June 2023 that they began dating.
In August 2023, Selena dropped the Blanco-produced single «Single Soon.» By December 2023, she confirmed their romance by liking fan posts on Instagram about the couple, even commenting on one: «He is my absolute everything in my heart.» The pair made their first public appearance together at the 2024 Emmys in January.
The following month, Selena opened up about their relationship in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music.
Selena Gomez shared, «Without going into too much detail, I think it’s crucial to find someone who truly respects you.» She added, «It’s also really special to have someone who understands the world I navigate. But overall, I feel the safest I ever have, and it’s been such a beautiful experience—I’ve only grown because of it, which is amazing.»
In March, Selena expressed her affection for Benny in a heartfelt birthday tribute on Instagram.
«Happy birthday, baby! Your emotional strength, positive attitude, incredible talent (which constantly amazes me), unbeatable sense of humor, and your loving, kind heart completely blow me away. I love you @itsbennyblanco,» she wrote, alongside a carousel of sweet pictures of the couple.
In a May interview with Magazine, Benny Blanco admitted that it took him a while to recognize his feelings for Selena Gomez.
«I was the last to realize,» he shared with the publication.
«It’s wild how your partner can be right there in front of you the entire time, and you don’t even see it. Then, you have that ‘Clueless’ moment when it hits you, and you’re like, ‘Wait, I’m in love.'»
