Model Miranda Kerr is thrilled to give birth to her fourth child
Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr has given birth to her fourth child, a baby boy.
The 40-year-old issued an emotional statement after welcoming her son with her Snapchat CEO husband, Evan Spiegel.
Announcing the news on Snapchat, she revealed his adorable name, writing: «We are overjoyed by the arrival of our little ray of sunshine, Pierre Kerr Spiegel.
«We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our fourth son into our family. Feeling so very blessed,» she added.
Miranda also shared a photo of a rolled-up blue blanket with the name ‘Pierre’ stitched on it. Yellow knitted baby socks and flowers accompanied the sweet picture.
Miranda and Evan also share five-year-old Hart and four-year-old Myles. She also welcomed 13-year-old son Flynn with her ex-husband Orlando Bloom, but the pair called it quits in 2013. Four years later, she tied the knot with Evan.
She initially announced the news she was expecting last year, writing on social media: «So excited to announce baby 4.»
It has been suggested her son’s name might be a nod to her late grandfather, Peter, who passed away from cancer in February 2021.
He was described as the family’s «rock» and Miranda said at the time of his death: «His spirit will continue to live through our family and all those he loved». The sweet French name might be a nod to his place in their lives.
But giving birth isn’t easy, and Miranda has never sugarcoated the process. She admitted of her labor with first son Flynn:
«I’ve never been through so much pain, but I was totally present the entire time, focusing on my breath and meditating….
I kept thinking, how do women do this? But if other women have done this, I can do it, too. I was determined.
