Exclusive: Meghan Markle and Harry are struggling to decide where to spend the Christmas holidays
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been invited to join Charles Spencer at Althorp, which could lead to a festive family reunion.
However, Meghan’s hesitation to visit the UK due to concerns about her family’s safety might spark a schism that dampens the Christmas spirit.
According to a source, while Prince Harry, at 40, is looking forward to a traditional British Christmas, the Duchess, 43, is still concerned about security.
Meghan has always been hesitant to travel to the United Kingdom, and she finds it difficult with everything that has happened.
The situation has deteriorated to the point where the couple’s six-year marriage may come to an end.
If Meghan Markle decides to go, it will be her first meaningful return on British land since the Queen’s death last year.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have yet to receive an invitation to the Royal Family’s traditional Sandringham meeting, and even if one is given, it seems unlikely they will accept.
The couple were absent from the Royal clan’s previous Christmas party at Sandringham and did not attend the Firm’s «summer summit» at Balmoral last month.
During his brief visit to the UK, Harry did not see either his father, King Charles, or his brother, Prince William.
While Harry travels independently, Meghan is thought to have stayed at home in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
She did, however, turn heads at the LA Children’s Hospital gala this weekend, wearing a gorgeous crimson gown.
Friends fear that the couple has drifted apart.
