Demi Moore and Rob Lowe Reunite 38 Years After *About Last Night* — and Seem to Have Defied the Passage of Time
Demi Moore and Rob Lowe were recently seen together on a night out, and it felt like they had stepped straight out of the 1980s.
The two, who famously starred together in the 1986 rom-com *About Last Night*, reunited for a special screening of Moore’s film *The Substance* at the Lumiere Cinema in Beverly Hills on Saturday, December 14.
Moore, 62, chose a chic brown skirt suit for the occasion, while Lowe, 60, looked sharp in a black jacket, striped sweater, and black jeans.
Moore posted pictures from the event on her Instagram on Friday, December 20, adding a playful nod to *About Last Night* in her caption.
“About Last (Saturday) Night with @roblowe 😉. A perfect ‘80s reunion to wrap up 2024 — thank you, Rob, for introducing our @trythesubstance screening! I’m so grateful for the past, the present, and everything yet to come ♥️,” Moore captioned her post.
*About Last Night* featured Moore and Lowe as Debbie Sullivan and Danny Martin, two Chicago-based 20-somethings who fall in love and navigate the complexities of their first serious relationship. The film earned praise for the genuine performances of both Moore and Lowe, as well as its honest depiction of the challenges each character faces.
This was their second collaboration on screen, following their roles in the 1985 classic *St. Elmo’s Fire*.
Moore portrayed the party-loving Jules, while Lowe played the charming yet troubled Billy. The film solidified their place in the iconic “Brat Pack” alongside fellow actors Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, and Ally Sheedy.
Their reunion also brought up memories of a real-life romance. Lowe recently shared that he and Moore briefly dated early in their careers.
“Demi and I had a little thing—nothing too scandalous—I’m not spilling any secrets,” he said during an appearance on *Live! with Kelly and Mark* in October.
He continued, “I mean, when you put young 20-something men and women together, hookups are pretty much inevitable.”
Lowe was quick to clarify that his brief romance with Moore happened before her engagement to Emilio Estevez.
