Madonna thought about how precious her life was after the illոеss she suffered a year ago
The past year has seen Madonna go through an incredible experience.
The pop icon said, «Happy 4th of July!,» beside a picture of herself having a fun Independence Day celebration.
It was exactly one year ago today, when I was recovering from a near-fatal sickness and could hardly support myself while standing in my backyard with a single sparkler.»
Guy Oseary, her manager, revealed that she had been admitted to the hospital on June 24, 2023, citing a «serious bacterial infection.»
Her much awaited Celebration Tour was forced to be postponed due to the severity of her ailment; it was initially scheduled to begin in Vancouver on July 15, 2023.
«I had an incredible year and recovered miraculously. God, I am grateful. «Life is amazing!,» she added in her caption.
The images in the carousel depicted Madonna watching the Fourth of July fireworks with a group of pals in New York City.
After spending a little more than a week in the hospital, Madonna posted on Instagram to reassure her followers that she was «on the road to recovery» and to express her sincere thanks for all the people who have supported and blessed her in her life.
One month after leaving the hospital, she gave another update on July 30, of the previous year.
She thanked God for being «lucky to be alive» and said that her family and friends’ love and support had been the best medicine for her recuperation.
«Love from family and friends is the best medicine,» she stated in her post, and she expressed gratitude to «my angels who protected me and let me stay to finish doing my work!»
Madonna’s Celebration Tour concluded on May 24 of this year, having performed 81 gigs despite being postponed.
