Jolie’s daughter abandoned her parents’ surname and thereby set an example for other star children
There are many benefits (like access to amazing closet archives) and some unanticipated drawbacks (such finding it difficult to follow your own path when expectations are there) to being a celebrity’s child.
Some famous children, like Malia Obama and Shiloh Jolie, changed their names slightly when they grew up, but others, like Elle King, completely changed their identities to establish their own brands in the business.

A list of famous children who have abandoned their parents’ last names can be seen below.
Suri Cruise: Suri Noelle
Suri, the daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, has graduated from high school, even though it hardly seems conceivable.
Suri’s name was listed as «Suri Noelle» rather than «Suri Cruise» in the program for her high school graduation ceremony in New York City on the big day.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt: Shiloh Jolie
One of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six children, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt (far left), applied to officially exclude the «Pitt» from her last name on her eighteenth birthday.
Not just Shiloh, but all the Jolie-Pitt siblings seem to use «Jolie» exclusively. Vivienne Jolie was mentioned in the brochure as the 15-year-old who appeared in the Playbill for the Outsiders Broadway musical,

for which she had a producing credit.
Additionally, in a video posted by Essence last autumn, Zahara, Vivienne’s older sister, identified herself as «Zahara Marley Jolie» during her Spelman College Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority initiation.
After a tense relationship with her father, Jon Voight, Angelina also opted to renounce her well-known father’s last name, filing to have «Voight» removed from her legal name in 2002.
