When posing tօpless, Kate Winslet acknowledges that she doesn’t want to cover up her stomach obesity
During the making of her current movie, Lee, Kate Winslet disclosed that she’refused to cover up her tummy rolls’ despite being urged to do so by a staff member.
During a recent photo session for Harper’s Bazaar, the 48-year-old Oscar-winning actress revealed more about the incident as she embraced her natural beauty and posed topless in the sea.
The 1986 biography The Lives of Lee Miller by Antony Penrose served as the inspiration for the film, which stars the actor as model-turned-World War II photographer Lee Miller.
Kate did, however, disclose that while filming, a crew member advised her to sit up more straight to cover up her rolls.
‘There’s a scene when Lee’s sitting on a bench in a bikini,’ Kate said in an interview with the magazine. In between shots, a crew member approached and remarked, «You might want to sit up straighter.»
«So my belly rolls are invisible to you?» Never in your life! You know it was intentional?
Conversely, she acknowledged that she doesn’t mind being less-than-ideal on screen, saying, «The opposite.» Because it is my life on display and that matters, I am proud of it. I would never consider hiding that.
In 1997’s Titanic, Kate played Rose in what is undoubtedly one of the most famous naked sequences in movie history.
In this scene, Rose sat back on a sofa and begged her love interest Jack, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, to «paint her like one of his French girls.»
Meanwhile, Kate wanted her character to be seen as «a fully functioning, flawed person» when she was filming a sex scene for Mare Of Easttown back in 2021.
