When it starts to rain, Taylor Swift abandons everything to perform outside
Playing in the torrential rain, Taylor Swift left everything behind.
The 34-year-old singer of «I Can Do It with a Broken Heart» demonstrated once more that a little rain won’t stop her from putting on a showstopping performance at her first Eras Tour show in Hamburg, Germany on Tuesday, July 23.
During her Lover performance, Swift reportedly said to the audience, «I’m surrounded by an entire sold-out crowd of people who would dance with me in the rain,» according to USA Today.
She said, «I don’t know if you’ve heard about us, but here on the Eras Tour we absolutely adore a rain show,» the publication reported.
A rain show, in my opinion, only attracts those who are really deserving and want to spend the entire evening partying outside in the rain.»
According to the publication, the rain ceased by the Red segment of the night, but Swift was still saturated by the Fearless portion of the concert.
The performer of «Lavender Haze» also chose to execute a second round of double mashups.
Swift played «Teardrops on My Guitar» by Taylor Swift, combined with Red’s «The Last Time» on the guitar. She then replaced her guitar with a keyboard and performed a cover of Fearless’ «We Were Happy» and Evermore’s «Happiness.»
Swift embarked on a three-night stint in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, prior to her performances in Hamburg.
The city, which changed its name to «Swiftkirchen» after a local fan petitioned the mayor earlier this month, welcomed the singer with open arms.
Swift was even granted a provisional tile on the Gelsenkirchen Walk of Fame, an accolade usually given to local celebrities.
The diva will perform in Munich on July 27 and 28, two additional German cities, after her performances in Hamburg, before traveling to Austria and Poland in the first part of August.
After spending three exciting nights in the English city earlier this summer, she will spend five nights in London to rap out the European portion of her worldwide smash tour.
