When asked if Taylor Swift is drawing musical inspiration from him, Travis Kelce gave the most supportive and thoughtful response.
Travis Kelce offered a heartfelt and supportive reply when asked about Taylor Swift’s songwriting process.
On January 13, during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, ahead of the Chiefs’ playoff game against the Houston Texans on January 18, Kelce was asked about being around Swift while she’s seeking inspiration for her music.
Host Pat McAfee posed the question, imagining a scene where they’re enjoying dinner and Swift’s creative spark ignites. He asked Kelce if he plays a role as a motivator, considering Swift’s status as one of the greatest musical icons.
Kelce responded with enthusiasm, saying, «Oh, yeah. You know it.» However, he also clarified that while he never interferes with Swift’s creative process, he’s always there to offer support.
“I’m here to see where it can go,” he said.
One fan shared their thoughts on X, praising Kelce for being both supportive and respectful of Swift’s privacy as she works on new music. Another fan expressed excitement over the potential new songs inspired by Kelce since their relationship began in September 2023.
Kelce’s appearance on the show not only impressed Swifties with his thoughtful comments about Swift but also revealed more exciting details.
He confirmed that Swift would be at Arrowhead Stadium on January 18 to cheer on the Chiefs in their playoff game.
Kelce also hinted that Swift may be working on new music.
When McAfee speculated that there might be an extra special atmosphere at the game, possibly due to Swift, Kelce confirmed it, adding, «It’s playoff football, man.»
McAfee later playfully suggested that Swift might be working on an album about a “good” guy, potentially referencing Kelce, to which Kelce responded with a teasing, «There might be a few.»
He then humorously added, “You know I can’t say… any of that. I hear music everywhere.”
