The termination of Adele’s residency in Las Vegas has her feeling ‘genuinely sad’ as the show has been her «best friend»
On November 23, the weekend before Thanksgiving, the singer will perform her 100th and last gig.
Adele is «genuinely sad» that her time in Las Vegas is coming to an end after two prosperous years.
The 36-year-old «Hello» singer looked ahead on Sunday, November 3, realizing that her last performances are less than a month away.
«The end is truly just getting started. No other f—ing shows exist. There won’t be any surprises from me.
According to The Sun, Adele informed the audience, «This is the end.»
After the residency, which has been held every weekend at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum since November 2022 after being postponed in January 2022, the British singer previously declared that she would be taking a break from performing. In September, she told her audience, «I have 10 shows to do, but after that I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart.»
«They say that if you want things and you are looking for things in life, you have to pay the universe and then it pays you back tenfold,» she said to the crowd during her most recent residency event, according to The Sun.
«My life is a thousand times better,» Adele went on. nor my music, nor my profession, but my life. I am referring to my real life. And despite all of that, I genuinely believe that this program has been my best friend.»
She was «genuinely sad» that the run was ending, according to the «Easy On Me» singer.
Adele experienced a unique full-circle encounter during the residency when Céline Dion attended one of her performances. The space was created especially for Dion’s 2003 first residency in Las Vegas.
«I have been performing in Celine Dion’s room at the Colosseum for almost 2 years now,» Adele stated on X. Because it was designed for her, it was the only place in Vegas where I wanted to perform. I have a photo of her next to the stage, which I touch every night before I walk on.
«Adele, we are so grateful to you for welcoming me and my family back to the Colosseum for your amazing show!» Dion, 56, said in response on Instagram.
