Teen gets praised by choreographer Shiloh Jolie-Pitt for his commitment to his very diffiсult dance style
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is improving as a musician.
In an interview with PEOPLE, choreographer Kolanie Marks discussed the 18-year-old’s dedication to dance and work ethic, emphasizing how much she has changed from their first lesson at the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles.
A dancer based in Los Angeles, Marks has choreographed tours and music videos for musicians like as Mindless Behavior and Marques Houston, and she has collaborated with brands like Nike.
«She’s someone that I’ve worked with for a couple of years now,» Marks tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview.
«She’s dedicated herself to trying to figure out my style, which is a lot harder for a lot of people,» Marks remarks, expressing his admiration for Shiloh’s dedication «to a craft that is extremely hard.»
Marks claims that after beginning his career as a breakdancer, choreographing for NBC’s America’s Got Talent and MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, and touring the globe as a teacher, his focus has shifted to talent development.
«I consider myself fortunate to have taught numerous dancers. Many dancers I’ve trained are currently on tour with Beyoncé, Chris Brown, and Rihanna, he says.
«Just knowing what it takes to succeed in this industry, the consistency it requires and all of these things that it takes to actually make it happen, I was able to segue into developing and giving that to other people.»
As Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Marks claims to maintain Shiloh’s privacy during their sessions. «That’s something I don’t talk to her about,» he replies.
«I keep it very strictly based off of what we focus on, which is the dancing.»
The aspiring dancer is the fourth-oldest child of Jolie and Pitt’s ex-husband, with whom he also has twins, Knox and Vivienne, 16, and Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, and Pax, 20.
