Sofia Vergara looks young in an elegant off-the-shoulder dress without a brа at the film premiere
Sofia Vergara looked like she stepped out of the Golden Age of Hollywood at the Madrid premiere of Griselda on Tuesday.
The Modern Family alum, 51, opted for an off-the-shoulder, long-sleeved, floor-length black gown with a sweetheart neckline from designer Alexander McQueen.
From the elbow down, the sleeves were made out of a luxurious-looking silver and gold woven fabric.
The brunette bombshell – who sizzled in Yves St. Laurent at the press junket – wore her hair down and added diamond earrings.
In the Netflix series, the America’s Got Talent judge plays Griselda Blanco, a Colombian drug lord who grew her cartel into one of the most profitable and notorious in the world.
The role of a drug cartel leader isn’t so far out of the Hot Pursuit star’s experience.
During an appearance on the Spanish talk show El Hormiguero, she told the story of how her brother got caught up in the Colombian drug trade.
‘I lived it. I experienced the 70s, 80s and 90s in Colombia,’ Vergara explained.
‘Unfortunately, my brother was part of the business, and he was killed in 1996 in Colombia. After I had to take my family to Miami. It was a really difficult period in Colombia,’ she revealed.
The brunette bombshell, filed for divorce from her husband of eight years, Joe Manganiello, over the summer.
In October, she was linked to orthopedic surgeon Dr. Justin Saliman, who by all reports was ready to dive headlong into a relationship with Sofia, but she put the brakes on it.
‘There is still a spark between Justin and Sofia, but Sofia likes being considered single and ready to mingle, she doesn’t want to settle with anyone, even if there is an amazing connection with Justin,’ an insider told exclusively.
They might have a couple of dates again and dinners, but they aren’t an official couple anymore – much to Justin’s chagrin.
It started off being something awesome and sexy but was more of a rebound for Sofia as Justin wanted a little more.
