Sofia Vergara got worried about something important while striрping for dаring scenes
Sofía Vergara has admitted that she was worried about cellulite while filming sexy scenes.
The 51-year-old plays the lead role in Griselda for the Netflix show about the woman who became “the godmother” of Miami’s “drug empire”.
While filming for the streaming service, she stripped off for a scene with her on-screen hubby Dario Sepulveda played by Alberto Guerra.
During an FYSEE event titled A Conversation With Sofia Vergara, which was held in Los Angeles, Vergara was asked if she’d ever felt out of depth.
She responded: “The sex scene. I don’t think I’ve ever done, like, a sex scene. With Jay in Modern Family, I didn’t do anything.”
“I’m 50! I mean, when I was 30, I wouldn’t have worried. I think I was worried that I was going to look horrific. I was like: ‘Where are they shooting me?
The cellulite? From the side. Uh, I’m vain, I guess. That one kept me awake, I think.”
However, Sofia was happy with the final cut and said the scene “came out good” as it was “really dark”. “Andy, the artistic director, is very artistic, and he made me feel super comfortable, and he’s like:
‘We’re never going to stay, like, a long time on you the camera.”
The biographical crime drama series premiered on Netflix back in January 2024 with six episodes, each running at an hour long each.
Griselda has received generally positive reviews from critics, and Vergara has had huge praise for her acting.
Within just a week of the show’s release, Griselda debuted in the number one spot in 90 countries. It also earned top spot on Netflix’s Global Weekly Top 10 TV.
The Netflix synopsis reads: “Inspired by real events, this fictional dramatisation show Griselda Blacno’s journey from Medellín to becoming ‘the godmother’ of Miami’s drug empire.”
