In his new documentary, Sir Elton John left husband David Furnish emotional after revealing he may «not be around» to see their sons get married

The 77-year-old music legend, who shares two children—Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11—with 62-year-old Furnish, allowed cameras to follow his final three years of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour for the Disney+ film Elton John: Never Too Late.

In a poignant moment, as he toured the US, Sir Elton discusses stepping away from the road to spend more time raising his children. Reflecting on his health, he shares, «I want to see our children get married, but I don’t think I’m going to be around for that.»

David Furnish, emotional, shared that he was upset by Sir Elton John’s remark about not being around to see their sons get married, saying, «In my mind, I sort of think Elton is going to live forever.»

The revelation follows Sir Elton confirming that he has lost his eyesight after an infection left him partially sighted. At the red carpet launch of The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical in London, he addressed the audience, admitting, «I have lost my sight, but I’ve enjoyed the performance.»

Sir Elton credited David for being his support through the challenges, adding, «To my husband, who’s been my rock… I love to hear it, and it sounded good tonight.»

Elton John revealed he lost sight in his right eye due to an infection in France last July and has been unable to see, read, or watch anything since.

Speaking about his documentary Never Too Late, he admitted he’s unsure if he can record music, as his left eye is also affected. He’s focusing on improving his vision, stating, «It floored me — I can’t see, read, or watch anything.»
