Selena Gomez shocked her fans on Thursday, February 13, by announcing a surprise collaboration album with her fiancé, Benny Blanco, titled I Said I Love You First.
The album, set to release on Friday, March 21, marks the couple’s first joint project since they got engaged.
The pair revealed their engagement on Instagram in December 2024, after over a year of dating.
Gomez shared the exciting news with her followers on Instagram, writing: «I always trick you guys 🥰.
My new album I Said I Love You First with my best friend @itsbennyblanco, is out on 3/21 🖤.»
She continued, «Our first song, ‘Scared of Loving You,’ is out now on all streaming platforms.

Blanco, 36, left a sweet comment on the post: «i love you baby.»
The album’s lead single, «Scared of Loving You,» dropped Thursday, along with a lyric video.
Written by Gomez, Blanco, and 8-time Grammy winner Finneas, the song is produced by both Blanco and Finneas.
The album, which celebrates Gomez and Blanco’s relationship, offers fans an intimate look into their journey together.
A press release describes the project as a natural result of the creative comfort the couple shares, allowing them to create music that truly reflects their shared experiences.
The album explores their love story, from their early days apart to falling in love and envisioning their future.
Before this upcoming album, Gomez and Blanco had previously worked together on several projects.
Blanco co-produced tracks like «Kill Em with Kindness» and «Same Old Love» from Gomez’s 2015 album Revival.
They also teamed up for the 2019 hit «I Can’t Get Enough,» featuring Tainy and J Balvin, and the quirky music video, which saw Gomez in pajamas and Blanco dressed as a teddy bear.
Most recently, in August 2023, they collaborated on Gomez’s single «Single Soon.»
In January 2024, during an appearance on the SmartLess podcast, Gomez opened up about her future plans in music.
«I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting,” she said.
“I am going to want to chill because I’m tired.
I wanted to be an actress, I never really intended on being a singer full-time, but apparently, that hobby turned into something else.»
