Selena Gomez attends the SAG-AFTRA event alongside Emilia Perez’s co-stars Karla Sofia Gascon and Zoe Saldana
During this week’s SAG-AFTRA event in Los Angeles, Selena Gomez reconnected with her co-stars from Emilia Perez, Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofia Gascon.
Karla plays a cartel leader who poses as a woman in order to undergo a gender change in the Spanish-language musical comedy.

At the Cannes Film Festival, Emilia Perez made her debut to a flurry of praise, earning Sofia, Zoe, Karla, and their co-star Adriana Paz a joint best actress award.
In response to positive reviews from reviewers, the film debuted on Netflix this Wednesday following a limited theatrical run in the US and Canada on November 1.

At the Meryl Streep Center For Performing Arts, a SAG-AFTRA venue on Wilshire Boulevard, the three leading actresses have now congregated in matching black.
SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations Presents Emilia Perez was the event they went to this Tuesday night.
Wearing a stylish black jacket over a matching shirt and a loose-fitting tie, Selena looked put together.

Wearing her dark hair down for her most recent night out, she completed the ensemble with a pair of basic black heels and high-waisted jeans.
In the meantime, Zoe accentuated her enviably trim waist by tucking a black v-neck sweater into her floor-length fossil grey skirt.

Karla, the first openly trans person to win the Cannes Best Actress award, chose to wear a pair of flowing silver pants and a black wrap shirt.
As casting director Carla Hool prepared to interview them onstage at The Meryl Streep Center For Performing Arts, they posed on the red carpet.

As the singer told Elle, «I recall being on set with Meryl Streep, trying to shoot her side so that she could go home and have the next day off.»
«It was so classy and showed that she really still loved the craft and that she wanted to be there for us too,» said the Come And Get It singer.

I will always remember her singing on set while barefoot and simply enjoying her work.
I aspire to have that mindset, to always enjoy my work, and to support others.
