Prince Harry recently mentioned his daughter, Princess Lilibet’s, long red hair — and it’s beautifully showcased in the Sussex family’s holiday card!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2024 holiday card features six photos, but one is certainly stealing the spotlight.
Among the images showcasing the couple’s travels to Nigeria and Colombia this year, the top middle photo stands out with a rare glimpse of their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
In the heartwarming shot, the children are seen running toward Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, who are standing with open arms beside the family’s dogs Guy, Pula, and Momma Mia.
Released on Monday, December 16, the card carries a holiday message: “On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions, and Archewell Foundation, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year.”
This rare photo of Archie and Lilibet marks their first public appearance since their brief cameo in *Harry & Meghan*, the docuseries released on Netflix in December 2022.
In the holiday card, Archie and Lilibet are shown from behind, their vibrant red hair clearly visible — a feature Prince Harry recently discussed. On September 30, while attending the WellChild Awards in London, Harry shared with *Hello!*’s Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon that both of his children “have been blessed with their mother’s thick hair.”
He also remarked that it wouldn’t be long before Lilibet would be able to sit on her hair.
This isn’t the first time Harry has spoken about his children’s red hair, which they both inherited from him. During an appearance on *The Late Show with Stephen Colbert*, Harry reflected on the strong genetic trait in his mother Princess Diana’s Spencer family, saying, “The Spencer gene is very, very strong.”
He continued, laughing, “I honestly thought, when I started dating Meghan, that there was no way the ginger gene would survive against my wife’s genes — but I was wrong!”
While Harry and Meghan strive to keep Archie and Lilibet’s lives private, they occasionally share glimpses of their experiences as parents.
One such moment came when they announced the birth of their daughter on June 4, 2021, expressing, “She is more than we could have ever imagined.”
