Megan Fox was taken by surprise by the latest breakup in her on-again, off-again relationship with Machine Gun Kelly.
The Subservience actress and the musician parted ways in late November, just weeks after announcing they were expecting their first child together.
A source close to Fox reveals that she was «blindsided» by the split, sharing, «She’s been devastated.»
Despite the emotional turmoil, Fox is focusing on preparing for her upcoming arrival, with the insider noting, «That’s her top priority.»
Representatives for both stars have yet to respond requests for comment.
Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, met while filming Midnight in the Switchgrass and got engaged in January 2022.
Both are already parents—Fox shares three children, Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 8, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, while Kelly has a 15-year-old daughter, Casie.
Another insider shared that Fox and Kelly’s relationship has always been «rocky» and suggested that reconciliation could be in the cards soon.
«They care deeply for each other but their personalities don’t always align. They’re both fiery, dramatic, and stubborn,» the source explained. «When things are good, they’re amazing together.»
The insider also noted, «They’ve broken up before and found their way back to each other, so it’s very likely they’ll reconcile again.»
Despite the ups and downs, both Fox and Kelly have been thrilled about the pregnancy. «They were both excited to have this baby,» the source said.
Earlier this year, Fox discussed the complexities of her relationship with Kelly during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
When host Alex Cooper pointed out the pair’s public engagement and their tumultuous relationship, Fox responded by saying, «What I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption.»
Fox also referred to Kelly as her «twin soul,» emphasizing the deep connection they share. «There will always be a tether to him, no matter what.
I can’t say for sure how our relationship will look in the future, but we’ll always be connected,» she added.
