Pamela Anderson has become even more relatable by revealing that her makeup-free lifestyle has helped her save a significant amount of time.

Pamela Anderson’s choice to go makeup-free wasn’t initially about saving time, but it turned out to be a welcome bonus.

During the January 8 episode of *Live with Kelly and Mark*, the 57-year-old star of *The Last Showgirl* opened up about her decision to simplify her beauty routine in recent years. Co-host Kelly Ripa described her as “an extremely low-maintenance star,” sparking a conversation about Anderson’s makeup-free lifestyle.

“You don’t travel with a glam squad. How liberating is that for you?” asked Ripa, 54, while co-host Mark Consuelos chimed in, “And how much time have you gotten back?”

“I’ve saved so much time,” Anderson admitted, sharing a lighthearted anecdote about her sons — whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee — saying she spent “half her life in a makeup chair.” Reflecting on her earlier years, she noted, “I loved it back then.

When you’re new in the business, all the attention and glam is fun. But now, I’ve been there, done that, and I prefer a simpler, more low-key approach.”

Anderson also revealed how this shift has positively influenced her acting career. Speaking about her experience on the Gia Coppola-directed project, she said, “I felt like I could focus better on the work.

Sure, there’s a team on set, but outside of that, even for red carpets and magazine covers, I’ve embraced a makeup-free look — and it’s been enjoyable.”

Inspired by Anderson, Ripa shared her own experience of going glam-free during a recent two-week break. “I thought, ‘Pamela Anderson is a genius. This is how life should be!’”

Anderson, however, made it clear she hasn’t abandoned glam altogether. “I still love elegance and sophistication. For photoshoots or playing a character in a film, I enjoy wearing makeup.

But in my everyday life, even with modern HD photography, I’ve found that a full face of makeup doesn’t necessarily enhance my appearance. So, I’m experimenting with minimalism,” she said, adding, “Sometimes I’ll wear a bit of blush or lip color, but I usually end up going back to natural.”

Her journey to a makeup-free lifestyle began in 2019, following the death of her longtime makeup artist from cancer.

However, it wasn’t until fall 2023, when she appeared at Paris Fashion Week bare-faced, that her choice truly made waves.

Speaking about the moment to *Vogue France*, Anderson explained, “I was wearing these stunning clothes and thought, ‘Why compete with them?’

It felt freeing, like a release. I’m not trying to be the prettiest person in the room anymore.”
