Miley Cyrus brings back glam rock with big hair and colorful coat for new cover
Miley Cyrus shared the glam rock inspired cover art for the anticipated collaboration with Pharrell Williams ahead of the release of their new song Doctor (Work It Out) on Instagram on Tuesday.
The Flowers hitmaker, 31 — who took on a role in the lesbian road trip comedy titled Drive Away Dolls — tagged the Happy singer, 50, in the caption of the post.
The track — which was initially slated to be included on her 2013 Bangerz album — was heard playing at Louis Vuitton’s runway show during Paris Fashion Week last month,
which was captured in a clip uploaded to X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the cover art, the songstress could be seen striking a pose while looking directly towards the camera.
Her voluminous locks flowed down around the star who donned a fuzzy, blue ensemble as well as flashy earrings.
Above the former Disney Channel actress, the words ‘Pharrell Miley Doctor (Work It Out)’ were written in pink lettering.
The song was slated to appear on the Bangerz album in 2013 — which contained other hit tracks such as Wrecking Ball, We Can’t Stop and Drive.
However, the tune ended up being cut from the LP and a few years later in 2017, was leaked, according to Billboard.
Social media users jumped to the comment section to express their excitement over the collaboration, with one fan typing out, ‘she won 2 Grammys then said let’s make it 3.’
Another added, ‘BANGERZ MILEY IS COMING BACK!!!’ while one wrote, ‘Finally DOCTOR is coming after 10 years.’
MTV’s Instagram account added, ‘i’m in the waiting room,’ while Williams simply commented an emoji of a stethoscope.
Pharrell also teased a portion of the single over the weekend when he uploaded a clip to his main Instagram page.
