Mariah Carey cancels two additional Christmas concerts due to the flu, expressing, «I’m truly devastated about it.»

Mariah Carey has been forced to cancel two more of her holiday performances after contracting the flu. On Friday, Dec. 13, the 55-year-old singer of «All I Want for Christmas Is You» informed her fans that she was still unwell and would not be able to perform as scheduled at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and the UBS Arena at Belmont Park in New York for her Mariah Carey’s Christmas Time shows.

«Newark and Belmont, I wish I had better news, but unfortunately, I’m still sick and have to cancel tonight’s [Dec. 13] show and the one on Sunday,» the singer posted on X (formerly Twitter).

«I’m truly devastated by this and am grateful for your support. Love, MC 💔,» she added.

Carey now has only one remaining show on the tour, which is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

She has not yet commented on whether that performance will be canceled.

The post was made two days after Carey called off her Pittsburgh concert just hours before she was set to perform at the PPG Paints Arena.
«Unfortunately, Pittsburgh, I’ve come down with the flu.

It truly breaks my heart to cancel tonight’s show. I love you all so much,» she shared on X on Wednesday, December 11.

Carey has not yet indicated if she plans to reschedule the canceled concerts. This is a particularly hectic period for the artist, famously dubbed the Queen of Christmas.

Her iconic holiday song, «All I Want for Christmas Is You,» soared back to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 this week, and she was treated to a special surprise in recognition of this achievement.

Carey expressed her gratitude to her fans, saying, «Thank you! Wow, that was such an amazing moment to hear. It’s from the Hot 100? I’m so grateful to everyone who made this happen.

Thank you all so much!»
