Mandy Moore responds firmly to critics after posting a GoFundMe for her relatives who lost their home in the L.A. fires, telling them to «kindly f off»
Mandy Moore, whose home was affected by the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, has urged critics to «kindly f off» after posting a GoFundMe campaign to assist her family members who lost their house.
The *This Is Us* star, 40, previously shared on January 9 that her Altadena home had been «miraculously» spared, despite her family’s garage, music studio, and back house being destroyed.
Following this, Moore posted a GoFundMe link on her Instagram to support her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Griff and Kit, who lost everything in the Eaton Fire.
She explained in the caption, «With their first baby due in just a few weeks, they need our help more than ever. Griff is a musician and lost all of his drums and percussion equipment, which he relies on for his livelihood.»
Moore urged donations to help her family rebuild, explaining that many had asked how to assist. She clarified her decision to share the campaign, stating that questioning their support or finances was neither helpful nor empathetic.
She ended with a blunt message to critics: «Kindly f off. No one is forcing you to do anything.» By January 12, the campaign raised over $200,000, with donations now disabled.
Moore later revealed that while the main part of their house remained standing, it was uninhabitable, and they lost their studio, instruments, garage, and back house.
She also noted the widespread destruction in her neighborhood: «Every house on our street is gone, including my in-laws and my brother and sister-in-law, just weeks from their first baby.» She concluded, «Altadena strong.»
