Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song are getting into the holiday spirit for their children!

The Home Alone star, 44, shared in a recent interview with News that he and his fiancée go all out for Christmas, making sure to create a magical experience for their two sons: Dakota, 3, and their 2-year-old, whose name they have yet to reveal.

«They’re at that magical age where they truly believe, and we want to nurture that belief,» Culkin explained. He also shared his fun plan for explaining his absence while he’s screening Home Alone on tour this month.

«I told them I’m at Santa’s workshop fixing toys, because that’s what I do for them at home,» he said with a smile. «I’m so good at it that Santa called me to the North Pole. They’re totally okay with that.»

Culkin takes on the important role of stocking duty during the holidays, proudly considering himself the “master” of this task, ensuring he stays on top of it each year.

When it comes to gift-giving, his children’s wish lists seem to be quite similar. Dakota has his eye on a truck, a New York City truck, and, of course, more presents. Meanwhile, his youngest son has a similar request: his own truck, but specifically a garbage truck, along with garbage bins and more gifts.

«It’s like they’re wishing for more wishes,» Culkin laughed. «I’m like, ‘You guys are definitely my sons.'»

Culkin also shared that he knows he’s nailed the gift-giving when Brenda Song asks, “Where did you get that?” —which happened when he brought home a Zoltar fortune-telling machine, reportedly from Switzerland.

He added that his algorithm, tailored to his “kooky taste,” is filled with recommendations, making it easier for him to find the perfect gifts.

Culkin and Song’s children have already had a sneak peek at their dad’s iconic role in the 1990 holiday classic.

The actor previously shared with News that Dakota sometimes mixes up the actions of his character, Kevin McCallister, with his own childhood memories. Culkin is also giving Home Alone fans a special treat this month by hosting screenings of the film across the country, accompanied by a Q&A session, as part of Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin.

The event will continue this weekend in Milwaukee and Detroit, before heading to Ohio, New Jersey, and other locations, wrapping up on Dec. 15 in Massachusetts.
