Kylie Kelce opens up about how the Eagles watch parties have changed now that her husband, Jason Kelce, is retired.
Even after Jason Kelce’s retirement in 2024, he and his wife, Kylie, continue to show their unwavering support for the Philadelphia Eagles.
During the Jan. 16 episode of Not Gonna Lie, Kylie, 32, shared how she and Jason, 37, now enjoy watching games together at home.
She mentioned they now watch the games «from the living room» rather than sitting in her usual spot at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. «I used to go to the Linc for every home game,» she explained.
«We’d typically keep [the girls] at home, except for one game a year.
They’re not really into it, so it didn’t make sense to bring them to a loud, overstimulating place.»
While they no longer attend the games in person, Kylie still clings to her superstitions, especially during the playoffs.
«Playoff Kylie is different from regular season Kylie because the superstitions take over the entire day,» she confessed.
«From the start of the day until the game is over, I won’t check Twitter and avoid most social media.» She even mentioned that she refrains from posting online on game days, a superstition she followed while Jason was playing and still keeps now.
«I don’t know why we’re posting other things. Life is not happening. Eagles are happening,» she explained. «I have to focus. I can’t be distracted by other things or conversations.
Our job is to lock in and send as much energy and power to the team.»
Kylie also admitted she avoids trash-talking rivals like the Dallas Cowboys. «I can’t talk s— on them and expect the universe to keep supporting us the way it has,» she said.
Her superstitions were also in full swing during the 2024 Super Bowl, where she watched her brother-in-law, Travis Kelce, play for the Kansas City Chiefs.
On her Instagram Stories, Kylie shared that she couldn’t bear to watch the game at times due to «my superstition kicking in hard.»
«I refused to watch the game, even on the TVs,» she explained in a video, mentioning how she kept track of the game through her friend Sarah King’s reactions to stay informed.
King even shared the story, adding, «She wasn’t lying,» with Stevie Wonder’s song «Superstition» playing in the background.
