The mother of four recently revealed on Instagram Stories that she has a broken foot, as reported by *Cosmopolitan* earlier this month. But despite the setback, she’s opting for a fashionable recovery.
Rather than opting for the typical medical boot, the 44-year-old *American Horror Story: Delicate* actress is sporting a unique cast designed to resemble a trendy wedge heel.
On December 17, Kardashian posted a photo to her Instagram Stories showcasing her foot wrapped in plaster, crafted in a way that mimicked the shape of a high-fashion shoe. True to form, she also made sure to keep her toenails polished with a vibrant red pedicure.
The photo offered little additional information about Kardashian’s injury, but it was clear she wasn’t letting it hold her back. Despite her broken foot, she made sure to attend the opening of SKIMS’ new store in New York City on December 12.
At the glamorous launch event, which was also graced by celebrities like Paris Hilton, Cardi B, and Ice Spice, Kardashian was photographed leaving the store on a knee scooter. In some shots, she rocked sleek heels to complement her chic outfit, though she later swapped them for a more comfortable boot as the night went on.
Prior to her injury, Kim Kardashian was channeling her adventurous side during a recent fashion shoot on a motorcycle. In photos posted to Instagram on December 4, she struck poses in a sheer bodysuit and slingback heels while sitting on a large bike. Just a couple of days earlier, on December 2, she shared a series of images where she modeled a ski mask, crop top, bikini bottoms, and camel boots.
While Kardashian seems to be handling her injury with grace, it’s clear she’s not thrilled about the timing. In the initial post announcing her mishap, she expressed frustration over the unfortunate timing, especially with the holidays approaching.
Still, it’s unlikely that her injury will disrupt the Kardashian-Jenner family’s annual Christmas Eve celebration.
Kardashian has since shared that this year’s gathering will be more intimate and low-key, in contrast to the extravagant fêtes they’ve hosted in the past.
