Khloé Kardashian reveals why she wanted Tristan Thompson by her side during True’s birth, even after discovering his cheating scandal just two days prior.
Khloé Kardashian is opening up about why she allowed her ex, Tristan Thompson, to be present during the birth of their daughter, True, despite learning of his infidelity just 48 hours before.
In the Jan. 29 episode of her podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, the 40-year-old reality star discussed her decision to have Thompson in the delivery room with guest Mel Robbins.
She revealed that despite the cheating scandal, she was focused on creating a positive experience for her daughter.
Kardashian shared that her past experiences, particularly her first marriage to Lamar Odom, helped guide her response to the situation.
«I knew how to handle this media scandal,» she explained, noting that she chose to stay in Cleveland, where she gave birth, to avoid the distractions of Los Angeles.
She also spoke about the emotional toll of isolating herself during this time, saying she «never left my house for a few months» and created a peaceful environment for True.
Kardashian emphasized that she wasn’t in denial but wanted to shield herself from the negativity surrounding the scandal.
Addressing the question of whether she wanted Thompson in the delivery room, she revealed, «I said, ‘I do,'» explaining that despite the circumstances, she wanted True to have a complete memory of the moment, including both parents being present.
Kardashian acknowledged that while it was difficult, she made the decision with her daughter’s future in mind, knowing that True would one day look back on the footage.
Reflecting on the experience, Kardashian described feeling «blank» and on «autopilot» during the birth, but said her focus remained on providing the best possible memories for True, despite the turmoil surrounding the situation.
Kardashian and Thompson, who also share son Tatum, 2, have faced challenges but continue to co-parent their children together.
