Jamie Lee Curtis celebrates her friend Pamela Anderson’s no-makeup movement by sharing a barefaced selfie
Jamie Lee Curtis paid tribute to her friend Pamela Anderson’s makeup-free movement by posting a barefaced selfie on her 66th birthday

The photo, shared on November 22, honored Anderson’s decision to embrace her natural beauty, which gained attention after she attended the Isabel Marant Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 show at Paris Fashion Week without makeup.
In her Instagram post, Curtis wrote, «Just out of the shower selfie. Honoring @pamelaanderson @lastshowgirl and her no-makeup ownership of self. Sober. Strong. Steady on,» celebrating the movement Anderson started.
Curtis, who stars alongside Anderson in The Last Showgirl, added a lighthearted note about her own appearance, joking about the mascara remnants from her previous workday.

The Last Showgirl, arriving in select theaters on December 13 and nationwide on January 10, features Anderson as Shelley, a showgirl in her 50s facing life-altering decisions after her long-running Las Vegas show ends unexpectedly.
In The Last Showgirl, Shelley is emotionally adrift, struggling to reconnect with a daughter she barely knows, while also facing the loss of the only job she’s ever had.
With the support of her outspoken best friend Annette (played by Curtis), a vivacious cocktail waitress who’s always ready with a laugh, Shelley must navigate a world she left behind years ago when she walked away from the stage.

At the film’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, Curtis praised Anderson’s role, noting that Anderson was deeply committed to the project, saying, “I did the movie because she was going to be in the movie.”
Curtis also spoke about Anderson’s strength in the face of the pressures of the entertainment industry, saying, «I love the way she is walking through the B.S. of show business and saying, ‘I do not need to play your game. And I respect her for it so deeply.»
The Last Showgirl will be released in select theaters on December 13, followed by a nationwide release on January 10. Curtis is also set to star in the upcoming Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday, which is scheduled for release on August 8, 2025.
