«I feel like myself more than ever.» Pamela Anderson Talks About Why She Decided to go Makeup-Free

Pamela Anderson is advocating for her inherent beauty!

In a Sunday, November 10 interview with The Sunday Times, the 57-year-old model and actress talked candidly about her recent choice to forgo cosmetics and how she now feels «more myself than ever.»

«There’s these beautiful clothes,» Anderson, who is promoting her new vegan cookbook I Love You, recalled when she first showed off her makeup-free persona at Paris Fashion Week in September 2023. Vivienne Westwood is what I’m wearing.

I have a lovely coat and this amazing hat. If I don’t wear makeup, no one will notice.

«All of these people really relating to me, and I didn’t realize it was going to start all of this,» she added. The message is excellent: we are sufficient in our current state. Every day, I have to remind myself of it.

Anderson also discussed her separation from the public image that followed her throughout her early career in an interview with The Sunday Times.

This was caused by the tabloids and Baywatch depictions of her with her ex-husband Tommy Lee, with whom she shares her sons, Brandon, 27, and Dylan, 26, as well as other ex-spouses.

Anderson stated, «I made this character to fight or to hide a lot of my disappointment in things that have happened along the way.»

She said that, as a mother and homebody who enjoys cooking and gardening, she feels at ease expressing who she really is in public.

«I’m playing myself now. I feel more like myself now than ever before,» Anderson remarked.

The celebrity also acknowledged that her former public persona had a detrimental effect on her boys, Brandon and Dylan, in addition to herself.

It’s likely that they no longer feel the need to defend their mother.

Anderson said, «You don’t realize how much that affects your children, and my public perception has changed.»

Anderson expressed her desire for her two boys to experience the benefits of this deliberate shift once she made the decision to be herself in public.

«Looking at me at this point in my life, I think they feel a lot more comfortable now too,» Anderson remarked.

«We’re all in a better place now, but it has been a journey.»
