Halle Bailey shows off her ripped abs in a pink sports brа less than six months after giving birth
Halle Bailey had her son Halo less than six months ago, and today The Little Mermaid star looks slimmer and fitter than ever.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, The Color Purple star, 24, snapped a photo of herself in her bedroom wearing a pink sports bra and low-rise gray sweatpants.
Her abs were as chiseled as a professional dancer’s in the mirror selfie.
Halle — who opened up about her postpartum depression– and her partner, rapper DDG, initially kept her pregnancy a secret.
In early January, she unveiled the baby’s arrival by sharing an image of the newborn on social media.
Halle has bared her abs in previous months, but her newest photo shows she’s achieved a deeper level of definition in her muscles.
The post comes after the member of Chloe x Halle struggled with postpartum depression after the birth of her son.
In a candid Snapchat clip, which was shared to Instagram by a fan last month, she said she wanted to share her struggles to bring awareness after she was ‘triggered’ by comments she saw online about her family.
She gushed over her ‘perfect’ baby boy and being a new mother but told her experiencing with ‘really bad’ postpartum depression made her feel like she was ‘drowning.’
‘It almost feels like you’re swimming in this ocean that’s, like, the biggest waves you’ve ever felt, and you’re trying not to drown, and you’re trying to come up for air,’ she shared.
‘I just wanted to speak a little bit about my postpartum journey as a new mom and now trying to work while still being severely postpartum,’ she began.
‘So, honestly, I have severe, severe postpartum,’ she admitted. ‘I don’t know if any new moms can relate, but it’s to the point where it’s really bad.’
