Taylor Swift like short hemlines and preppy prints!
The 34-year-old superstar’s newfound love of plaid was evident on Tuesday, November 19, when she went out with Este Haim and stylist pal Ashley Avignone for a ladies’ night out at the exclusive supper club Chez Margaux in New York City.
She chose a high-waisted miniskirt and a black-and-white checkered coat that hung down to her calf. Both pieces were designed by Carolina Herrera.
The singer wore a black turtleneck (also by Carolina Herrera) for a wintery touch, but she chose to flaunt her extremely toned legs instead of tights.
Swift’s accessories were particularly striking; she wore $1,500 black Gucci horsebit slingback platforms and a Peekaboo ISeeU Petite handbag by Fendi, which costs $4,400.
Swift wore her signature gold Louis Vuitton Tambour watch and a 14K gold, sapphire, and diamond Panther necklace from EFFY jewelry, which retailed for $10,995.
Her jewelry was stylish and well-known.
With her trademark bangs separated slightly and framing her face, Swift’s distinctive blonde hair was done into a gentle blowout.
There was also the star’s favorite cosmetics look. Winged eyeliner and a striking orange-red lipstick hue, which deviated somewhat from her beloved cherry red or her new favorite, a gentle brownish-red, she kept things traditional.
The singer of «Cruel Summer» recently caused a stir with her most recent game-day ensemble, which included matching plaid.
Swift wore a Versace tweed red-and-black windowpane jacket ($3,350) and miniskirt ($1,695), along with a Versace black purse and knee-high Versace black boots, as she arrived to Arrowhead Stadium on November 10 to support boyfriend Travis Kelce.
As is customary with Taylor, she counterbalanced the expensive costume with a less expensive item: a $35 black Victoria’s Secret corset.
Lucy Liu appears to have been influenced by the style, as she wore a similar ensemble to promote her new film Red One.
Versace also made Liu’s red and black checkered outfit, which the actress accessorized with black stockings.
Swift wore yet another plaid ensemble to Kelce’s game on October 7, with a red and brown plaid minidress and a Vivienne Westwood purse.
She also wore her hair in a loose ponytail and a pair of hefty leather boots.
