Exclusive. Rihanna Verifies Her Attendance in 2025 Met Gala with A$AP Rocky as her partner
Alongside her longtime boyfriend A$AP Rocky, who co-chairs the renowned event, Rihanna is scheduled to attend the 2025 Met Gala.
The 36-year-old owner of Fenty Beauty stated in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, October 24, that she is not yet certain of her and the rapper’s precise fashion plans, but she has confirmed that she will be present on May 5, 2025, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Her words, «He didn’t tell me anything,» «All we have planned is to be there.»
«He is not a concern of mine. Rocky is always happy to assist her figure out her dress ideas for major occasions like these, she said, laughing. «I’m worried about what I’m going to do,» she said.
«I never ask him for help, but he’s always willing to help,» she said. «Even if you’re an opp, you may approach him and ask him guidance or assistance with your project. He will also provide you guidance. I’ve witnessed it.
Having made her debut at the fashion event in 2009 in an ethereal white Georges Chakra halter gown adorned with crystals, Rihanna is a Met Gala veteran in her own right.
Since then, she has made more than a dozen appearances on the red carpet. Her papal-inspired Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano ensemble for 2018’s «Heavenly Bodies» theme is one of her most famous looks in Gala history.
A$AP Rocky has also made a few noteworthy appearances at the Met Gala. He and Rihanna made their debut together in a huge colorful quilt in 2021. The duo left their mark in 2023, taking over the red carpet once more with ensembles that paid tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld.
Rihanna sported a huge white Maison Valentino dress with a matching cloak adorned with textured rosettes and a long, flowing train. Opera-length fingerless gloves and a pair of white sunglasses with fake eyelashes completed the ensemble.
