Demi Moore provides an update on Bruce Willis’ health.

On Sunday, October 13, the actress from Substance received the Career Achievement in Acting Award at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival. During a wide-ranging live talk hosted by HIFF Advisory Board member Alina Cho, the 61-year-old actress revealed that her ex-husband, 69, is «stable» despite his frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnosis.

In addition, Moore discussed her own perspective on the illness, which Bruce’s wife Emma Heming Willis said he was diagnosed with last year after receiving an aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022.

«I’ve stated this before, you know. That’s the nature of the illness. Moore told the festival attendees, «And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is.» «But for where he’s at, he is stable.»

«I always advocate for meeting people where they are. Regarding the Die Hard star, she continued, «I think it’s a losing game when you’re holding on to what was.» «But when you show up to meet them where they’re at, there is great beauty and sweetness.»

Moore clarified that she was just «two days ago» visiting Bruce with her granddaughter, daughter Rumer, and their child, Louetta. She remarked, «And being able to share with whatever we have, for however long we have it,» in reference to her time spent with her former spouse.

Moore and Bruce have three daughters: Tallulah, 30, Scout, 33, and Rumer, 36. Last month, she stated on The Drew Barrymore Show that «[Bruce] is in a stable place given the givens.»

Moore also discussed what it meant to her to watch a reel of her films backstage before receiving her award during the film festival’s discussion, where she reflected on several career highlights, such as 1990’s Ghost, 1993’s Indecent Proposal, and 1997’s G.I. Jane.
