Elizabeth Hurley reveals how both she and her son felt while filming this rаcy scene
Elizabeth Hurley has revealed both she and her son Damian felt ‘very comfortable’ filming his new racy film Strictly Confidential, as being a single parent brought them close together.
The mother-son duo made headlines earlier this year following the release of Damian’s directorial debut — which saw the actress, 58, engage in a steamy lesbian sex scene with her 28-year-old costar Pear Chiravara.
The controversial thriller was ultimately savaged by critics, who described it as a ‘horrendous drama’ which played out like a ‘daytime soap opera.’
Now, speaking to Abbey Clancy on her podcast Exhibit A, Elizabeth, 58, said: ‘I get why people are like «how can you work together you two and particularly in the scenes you’re shooting?»
‘We don’t have that relationship, you know I came from a much bigger family, mum, dad, two siblings but Damian’s only ever had me, and I’ve only ever had Damian.’
Damian, 22, previously told The Times: ‘I hate to say that it felt totally normal. I don’t know what that says about us.’
Damian also revealed there were no intimacy coordinators on set because ‘everyone was very comfortable’.
He added to Abbey: ‘I think when you’re a single parent single child, the facade of I’m the parent you’re the child you’re going to do what I say kind of goes, you can’t sulk off in a gang of kids, or sulk off in a gang of parents, you’d be alone.’
Elizabeth continued: ‘We’ve had a shorthand and a closeness which is very different to how I had my parents, and I love my parents.
‘The idea of having them at work with me would have been horrific, I could never have stood it, but we just don’t have that no we’re like little twin souls in some ways, and it works really well.’
Damian added: ‘I don’t think she has ever been cast in a sexier part at this point in her career.’
