When we arrived, the sight was gut-wrenching. Mulan was visibly exhausted, her ribs protruding from her thin body, yet she still wrapped herself protectively around her puppies.
Their tiny cries pierced the air, a constant reminder of their hunger. Despite it all, she remained fiercely devoted to them.
We carefully freed her from the chains that bound her and gathered her puppies, determined to offer them the future they so desperately deserved.
At the shelter, they received immediate medical attention and proper nourishment.
