Triton arrived at VCA Greater Savannah Animal Hospital with a broken leg, seemingly on his way to receive much-needed care.
But instead of help, his owner removed him from the car, drove off, and abandoned him.
Left alone, confused, and heartbroken, Triton was spotted by the hospital staff in the parking lot. They immediately rushed to assist him, contacting the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.
X-rays were taken, and his leg was cast for free as the team worked to help the poor pup who had already endured so much.
The Humane Society took Triton in, quickly finding him a quiet foster home where he could rest and recover in peace, away from the chaos of the shelter.
Nina Schulze, the adoptions manager at the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, shared with The Dodo that Triton is a shy boy who truly blossoms when given love and a safe environment.
Triton found a loving foster family and is healing beautifully. The shelter has reported that he’s recovering well, now surrounded by love and comfort.
They noted his smooth adaptation to the cast, even playfully hopping around, and emphasized that this sweet boy truly deserves all the affection he’s now receiving.
