Billie Eilish is hit in the face with an object while performing «What Was I Made For?» at her Arizona concert.

Billie Eilish was hit by an object during her performance this week.

The 22-year-old singer was sitting cross-legged on stage at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday, December 13, when a bracelet—or something similar—struck her face as she was performing «What Was I Made For?» from the Barbie movie soundtrack.

In a TikTok video shared by fans, Eilish is seen flinching and briefly turning away from the audience, as the crowd reacts with gasps and boos in response to the incident.

Undeterred, Eilish went on to finish her performance, casually tossing the object aside while continuing to sing.

Billie Eilish kicked off her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour in late September. After wrapping up her North American shows, she’ll head to Europe and Australia starting in February.

During the Barbie world premiere in July 2023, Eilish spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the experience of being hit with objects on stage, revealing that it’s been happening for «literally six years.» She urged fans to refrain from throwing things during performances.

“People get excited, but it can be dangerous,” she said.

“It’s incredibly frustrating when it happens,” Eilish continued.

“I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, it’s upsetting, but on the other hand, I know it’s coming from a place of love. Fans are just trying to give me something. You’re in a vulnerable spot up there, but I’ve been dealing with being hit by stuff for years.”

Several other celebrities, including Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj, and Harry Styles, have also been struck by objects during their performances in recent years.

In June 2023, Pink was taken aback when a fan threw ashes onto the stage at BST Hyde Park in London.

Meanwhile, Bebe Rexha sustained a black eye after being hit in the face by a phone during her concert at The Rooftop at Pier 17, also that same month.
