Beyoncé delays her major announcement following her generous donation of $2.5 million to aid in L.A. fire relief efforts.

Beyoncé has announced that her highly anticipated revelation, originally set for Tuesday, January 14, will be postponed.

In a statement posted on Instagram, the 43-year-old singer explained that the announcement would be delayed due to the ongoing wildfire crisis in Los Angeles.

«The January 14th announcement will be postponed to a later date because of the devastation caused by the wildfires affecting areas of Los Angeles,» she shared.

«I continue to pray for healing and recovery for the families enduring trauma and loss,» she added. «We are incredibly fortunate to have courageous first responders who are tirelessly working to protect the community of Los Angeles.»

Beyoncé concluded her statement by encouraging fans to support those impacted by the fires by visiting her BeyGood Foundation’s website.

This announcement postponement came shortly after Beyoncé donated $2.5 million through the BeyGood Foundation to assist L.A. wildfire relief efforts.

In a post on the foundation’s Instagram account, Beyoncé explained that the generous donation would specifically support families in the Altadena/Pasadena areas who had lost their homes, as well as churches and community centers affected by the fires.

Fans had been speculating about the mystery of her January 14 announcement since she teased it with a cryptic video on Christmas Day.

In the video, Beyoncé appeared in an all-white outfit, seated on a white horse while waving a flag, captioning the post with «Look at that horse,» but offering no hints about the announcement itself.

After that, Beyoncé remained silent on social media until her recent statement revealing the delay.

The wildfires have led to the displacement of thousands, and the National Weather Service has issued an «extremely rare» Red Flag Warning due to strong winds, increasing the risk of rapid fire growth.
