At 78, Cher could easily be mistaken for 44-year-old Kim Kardashian as she rocks a cowgirl hat at a New York airport.
On Friday, all eyes were on a stylish woman as she made her way through JFK Airport in New York City. But who was this striking figure with raven-black hair?
Was it Kim Kardashian, 44, or perhaps one of her lookalikes? Surprisingly, it was the legendary Cher, 78, turning heads with her ageless beauty.
The icon, known for Cher: The Memoir, looked as youthful as ever, sporting a puffy leather jacket paired with a black-and-white tie-dye scarf draped over her neck and arm.
The Oscar-winning singer topped off the look with a black Western-style hat adorned with precious stones, and her long black hair cascaded in loose waves.
Her outfit included a black zip-up jacket, matching black pants with a striking white brooch pattern on the outer leg, and thick-soled black shoes.
Cher kept her makeup minimal and shielded her eyes behind dark sunglasses as she made her way to her waiting car.
Though the reason for her visit to New York remains unknown, Cher had recently been in the spotlight promoting Part One of her memoir, which topped the New York Times Bestseller list for six weeks before dropping to number 10.
She discussed her memoir during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
When Kimmel asked if it surprised her to see the book’s success, Cher responded, «Oh, God, yes.»
She explained that Part Two would be released in November 2025, sharing that the reason for splitting her memoir into two parts was to ensure readers could comfortably carry it.
«I wanted to see how it was and if people would be interested,» she said.
Looking ahead to Part Two, Cher teased that it would focus on her life in film.
When asked about her marriage to Sonny Bono and their iconic Sonny and Cher TV show, Cher fondly remembered, «Doing the show kept us together… we had so much fun, and it kept us closer longer than I really wanted.»
Cher also opened up about meeting Bono at just 15 years old, their marriage in 1964, and the birth of their child Chastity (now Chaz) in 1969.
The couple divorced in 1975.
While Cher acknowledged she hadn’t started working on Part Two yet, she remained confident, saying, «I think I’ll be better this time.»
She also shared her experience of becoming a global icon, explaining the process of legally proving that one name could be synonymous with fame: «You have to prove to a court that people could know you by that name. It’s not easy.»
