Ariana Grande posts a heartfelt photo with Ethan Slater to commemorate a «year filled with art and love.»
Ariana Grande closed out 2024 by sharing one final look at herself and her boyfriend, Ethan Slater.
On Tuesday, December 31, the 31-year-old pop star posted 20 photos to Instagram, reflecting on her year.
The carousel included moments with the *Wicked* cast, performances with co-star Cynthia Erivo, family photos with her brother Frankie Grande, his husband Hale Leon, and their mother Joan.
Among the images, the 17th features a charming, slightly blurry photo of Ariana and Ethan, 32, smiling for the camera with Jeff Goldblum in the foreground taking a selfie.
“A year full of art and heart 𖦹 ｡˚ฺ ｡˚·ꕤ.ﾟ!” Ariana captioned the post. “Thank you eternally for your love and support, words truly don’t suffice. I love you always and am wishing you all a very happy new year!”
Ariana and Ethan first met while filming *Wicked* in late 2022, where Broadway actor Ethan portrays Boq, a student at Shiz University, while Ariana stars as the good witch Glinda.
Their relationship was publicly confirmed in July 2023 after both Ariana and Ethan ended their previous relationships with Dalton Gomez and Lilly Jay, respectively.
While the couple kept their public appearances private for most of 2024, they made several appearances together during *Wicked*’s press tour before the film’s release in November, frequently supporting each other on social media.
On December 18, Ariana posted a sweet comment on Ethan’s Instagram, calling him “the Buster Keaton of today!” in tribute to the silent film star.
“He’s always adorable, and he’s so amazing in this film, he’s such an amazing person,» she said of Ethan in a November interview with *Entertainment Tonight*. «I’m so happy people are getting to know him. My heart is very happy.”
Ariana’s year-end post came just days after the Manchester Foundation Trust Charity revealed that she made a generous donation to children in the city’s hospital network.
This follows her continued connection with Manchester, where the tragic suicide bombing took place in May 2017 after one of her concerts, claiming 22 lives and injuring many more.
Ariana has remained deeply involved with the city and its residents since the tragedy.
“The gifts she has donated are being distributed to babies, children, and teenagers across Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Trafford General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital, and North Manchester General Hospital,» the hospital system shared on Instagram.
