Angelina Jolie reveals that she spent her holidays at home in pajamas while her divorce was finalized, describing the time as «quiet.»
Angelina Jolie has offered a glimpse into how she spent her recent holiday season.
The 49-year-old actress shared an update on her life following the settlement of her long-running divorce from Brad Pitt. During interviews at the 2025 Golden Globes, where she was nominated for her role in *Maria*, Jolie told *Entertainment Tonight* that her holidays were spent in a more relaxed and private manner this year.
“I was just at home in pajamas,” she said with a smile. “It was nice. Just quiet.” She added, laughing, “I rock pajamas!”
Looking ahead to the new year, Jolie’s hopes remain simple. “There’s so many things that come to mind, but always just health—and health for the children and the people you love,” she shared.
Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016 after two years of marriage and over a decade together. The couple, who share six children, had been embroiled in a lengthy and turbulent legal battle ever since.
At the time, Jolie accused Pitt of abusive behavior toward her and their children, leading to extensive legal proceedings.
A statement from Jolie’s lawyer, James Simon, in December 2024 explained that this chapter was one part of a long and ongoing journey. “Angelina is exhausted but relieved that this part is over,” he said, noting her focus on healing and peace for her family.
“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce, and since then, she has been working toward a sense of peace.”
A source close to Jolie emphasized that she does not speak negatively about Pitt, either publicly or privately, and is focused on moving forward in a positive way after a challenging time.
Although Pitt was investigated, no charges were filed in connection with Jolie’s accusations, and she ultimately chose not to pursue charges.
Following the divorce filing, Jolie and the children have not returned to their former home, Miraval, a property they shared with Pitt.
Jolie and Pitt reached a privacy agreement in 2017, though their divorce proceedings were marked by contentious custody battles and public accusations.
While most of their children are now adults, including Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox, the legal drama surrounding their shared French estate and winery, Château Miraval, continues. That case, unrelated to the divorce, is still ongoing.
