Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden was filled with emotion as she celebrated her eldest daughter’s 18th birthday.
She shared a touching video on Instagram featuring pictures of Lexi Hughes from her childhood to now, expressing her disbelief at being a mum to an 18 year old.
The TV star wrote: «Well ..The time has literally slipped by and our beautiful is 18 today. We just cannot quite believe it.»
She added: «Darling. We are so proud of the intelligent, sensitive, funny , perceptive and loving woman you have grown up to be.
We are here for you and love you so very much. Cannot wait to celebrate with our family and friends tonight!!»
Amanda’s fans and pals sent her loads of birthday wishes for her daughter Lexi. TV personality Lizzie Cundy wrote in the comments:
«Happiest of birthdays beautiful girl Lexi» with a love heart, and Strictly Come Dancing winner Stacey Dooley called Lexi a «Stunnah».
Amanda and her hubby Chris Hughes, who also popped up in the birthday video, have been a strong couple since 2008.
The Heart FM radio presenter has chatted before about how she parents, saying she stays as calm as her dad did. On a podcast, she said:
«That had a massive impact on me because he never raised his voice, he never shouted, and that’s something I have never ever done..
Maybe once I raised my voice for a warning to not jump in a pool without thinking first — it’s something like that.»
«Chris always says, ‘I can’t wait to actually see you lose your rag one day.’ He says, ‘I want to be there for the day when you lose your rag.’
And he always says to the girls, ‘Don’t push mummy too far cause she will have a breaking point,’ but I haven’t found it yet.»
In an online dedication last month to celebrate their anniversary, Chris got a lovely shout-out from Amanda.
