An elderly couple 👴👵 entered a McDonald’s and chose a spot near a group of young people enjoying their meals.
The gentleman made his way to the counter and ordered a single meal.
After returning to the table, he carefully unwrapped the burger, sliced it neatly in half, and placed one piece in front of his wife. He then counted out the fries, dividing them evenly between the two. 🍟
Next, he inserted two straws into the same cup of soda and placed it between them. 🥤
The wife began eating her half of the burger 🍔 while the husband sat quietly, watching her with a smile. Every now and then, he’d take a sip from the drink—but he never touched the food.
Their actions didn’t go unnoticed. People nearby glanced over with gentle sympathy.
A young man 👨 eventually walked over and offered to buy them an extra meal so they wouldn’t have to share.
The woman looked up, smiled warmly, and said, “That’s very kind, but we’ve always shared everything.”
Still, the man hadn’t touched his food. He just watched as his wife ate.
The young man, still concerned, returned once more and repeated his offer.
This time, the old man looked up and replied with a chuckle, “We really do share everything.”
The young man hesitated, then asked curiously, “But sir… what are you waiting for?”
The old man grinned and said:
“The dentures.” 😄
