Amanda Holden fights back teаrs as she shares feаrs after daughter news
Amanda Holden became emotional as she opened up about her daughters hitting a huge milestone.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 53, is a doting mum to Lexi, 18, and Hollie, 11, who she shares with husband Chris Hughes. And she is already dreading the day her two girls move out of their family home.
During an episode of Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job, the radio presenter voiced her fears with co-host and pal Alan Carr.
She explained: “When your children, when they leave home, you then only spend like a year of your life with them – ever again.
“And they say you have 18 summers, and then you’re lucky to see them. Oh my God! I know, but it’s so terrible because you wish so much of it away.
Amanda continued: «When you’re a like, busy parent, you just go, ‘Oh, god,’ or you’re like, ‘Shush,’ or ‘Hurry up,’ or ‘what?’ or you’re on your phone, or you’re cooking dinner or something goes wrong. It’s like, ‘Don’t interrupt me.’
Holding back the tears, the TV personality added: I spent my life going, ‘Hurry up, don’t interrupt.’ And then you go, ‘Oh, my gosh,’ and then they turn round, and they’re not even there, and they’ve gone.»
Alan, 47, responded: «So how are you going to cope when your ones fly the nest?” as a tearful Amanda simply reply: «Don’t.». The Heart FM host shared a snippet of the video on Instagram alongside the caption: «Time flies. Enjoy it.»
Big things are happening for Amanda’s eldest daughter Lexi as she previously signed a modelling contract with Storm Management – one of the UK’s top modelling agencies who made Kate Moss a global star.
