Brad Pitt’s six children have had limited contact with his parents in recent years, according to a source close to the actor’s family.
The insider reveals that his children with ex-wife Angelina Jolie—Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16—have not spent much time with Pitt’s parents or extended family in over five years.
The source notes that their relationship with their grandparents, cousins, and other relatives on Pitt’s side is minimal.
Pitt and Jolie, who divorced in 2016, have been embroiled in a lengthy legal battle regarding finances and custody of their children.
However, a source close to Jolie counters these claims, saying, “Angelina hasn’t prevented any relationships; she actually encourages the kids to stay connected with their grandparents.” “The children send cards and gifts for their grandparents’ birthdays and at Christmas,” the source adds.
In October, after Jolie dropped her legal case against the Department of Justice and FBI over documents related to a 2016 altercation on a private plane, a family insider shared that Jolie is focusing on moving forward with her children.
