A woman’s photo taken after a deadly crash reveals one startling detail.
On a sunny spring day in 2017, Hannah Simmons was driving her nine-month-old daughter, Alannah, to a routine doctor’s appointment in Gainesville, Georgia.
Tragically, their journey took a devastating turn when Hannah’s car collided head-on with a truck, resulting in a fatal crash.

The family was left heartbroken by the loss, but just days later, they were shown a photograph from the scene that unexpectedly brought them a sense of comfort and hope.
At 23 years old, Hannah was on the road with her best friend, bringing her daughter to the doctor.
But as they traveled, Hannah lost control of the car, and the collision occurred. Sadly, Hannah, her daughter, and her best friend died instantly.
A man who was present at the scene immediately called emergency services, but he and others quickly realized there was little they could do to help.
On her way to work, 19-year-old Anisa Gannon came across the crash site. With the road blocked, she snapped a photo to explain to her boss why she was going to be late.
It wasn’t until later, when Anisa looked at the picture, that she noticed something extraordinary.
In the photo, a brilliant beam of light is seen descending from the sky, shining down on the spot where the car wreck had taken place — the spot where the woman and baby had tragically lost their lives.
Feeling compelled to share the photo with the victim’s family, Anisa did so, and when they saw the light, they were moved to tears. Tara, Anisa’s aunt, who had also seen the picture, remarked, «It looked like they were going to heaven.»
Though some skeptics suggest that the light may have been a reflection from the windshield, the victim’s family found solace in the image.
To them, it was a sign that Hannah, her baby daughter, and her best friend had ascended to heaven. Jodi Simmons, Hannah’s mother, said she «absolutely» believed the image represented a “pathway to heaven.”
When you lose someone close to you, the thought of them being in a better place can bring a much-needed sense of peace. May this story offer hope to others who need it.
