A time in my life when I didn’t go near carbs: Kristin Cavallari was scаred of carrots
Kristin Cavallari is reflecting on her previous eating patterns and observing how much has changed.
«This is the most carbohydrates I’ve ever eaten,» the 37-year-old Laguna Beach alumnus tells Bustle.
«There was a time in my life when I avoided all carbohydrates. I genuinely think it messed up my metabolism, and it took me a year to stabilize.

I was even frightened of carrots for a while because I was doing keto combined with intermittent fasting,» she recounted. «It’s been really nice to have this freedom with food,»
The most common time-restricted eating strategy is intermittent fasting, in which individuals only eat within a set window of time. And keto is a stringent, yet supposedly «effective,» low-carb, high-protein, high-fat diet.
The Uncommon James apparel line’s creator, however, claims that she is currently in «the best shape» of her life and feels far healthier than she did before her 2020 divorce from Jay Cutler,
with whom she has three sons, Camden Jack, age 11, Jaxon Wyatt, age 10, and Saylor James, age 8.

In a June episode of her podcast, let’s Be Honest, she revealed, «I was very thin.» For you folks, let me put it in context. I stand five feet three inches tall.
Right now, I weigh 114 pounds. I dropped to 102 pounds while filming the E! Reality show Very Cavallari, and I was consuming the same quantity of food as I do today.
She stated on the show, «The difference was that I was so unhappy and stressed out.»
«When I see old pictures from that era, I think, ‘Holy s—.'» I felt so very thin. I was only a skeleton. I gave out an s— vibe. That was just stress, you guys,» she remarked.

«To be honest, that was a truly miserable marriage. I had entirely too much on my plate and was literally miserable.
She said to bustle that these days she has focused only on the important things.
«My children are the core of my existence. With my kids, I don’t have any assistance. I simply don’t have time for anything else right now—I don’t even have an assistant,» she said to the publication.
«My only goals are to monetize my podcast and Uncommon James and do what I need to do for those.”
